Product information "Talwar, Indian Saber"
Talwar, Indian Saber
The Cold Steel® team has been fascinated with the Indian Talwar for decades and has made it its personal mission to bring the highest quality production version of this historically significant sword to the market.
The Cold Steel® Talwar is the culmination of years of experimentation and extensive research. With its hand-forged and beautifully balanced 1090 high carbon steel blade, the Talwar features a solid brass with an intricately decorated surface that will accommodate even a large gloved hand.
Supplied with an excellent wooden scabbard covered in black leather and fitted at either end with highly decorative brass furniture, Cold Steel®'s Talwar is a sword to be reckoned with!
Cold Steel® is grateful to Shastar Vidya Martial Artist Nidar Singh Nihang for his valuable insights into the traditional combat application of the Talwar.
1090 High Carbon Steel
1090 high carbon steel is an excellent choice for larger fixed blades. It takes and holds a good edge while remaining tough enough to withstand even Cold Steel®'s brutal stress tests. It is a good all-around performance high carbon steel that is very forgiving under shock.

Tolle Klinge
