The Italian Storta gained great popularity at the beginning of the 16th century, especially in Italy. Its influences can be traced back to the earlier Falchion and other models. This sword became unique in its many forms and designs, as it was very decorative yet still a deadly slashing sword. Luke LaFontaine based his design on two different Stortas and an Italian sabre with one and a half handles from the same period. He took the best aesthetic and functional aspects to create a balanced, sharp-cutting sword. His version is made of 1060 carbon steel with decorative steel fittings and a beautiful leather handle that can be held with either one or two hands. A fantastic new sword from Cold Steel that fans will surely want to get their hands on.
