The 4-MAX was developed as a collaboration between Cold Steel® and award winning custom knife maker Andrew Demko. It was produced with one goal in mind: to deliver a folding knife with the maximum strength and performance possible within a 10 cm blade limit. Bridging the gap between production knives and expensive custom offerings, the 4-Max is made to Andrew's exact specifications and from highest-grade materials.

Its extra wide, drop point stonewashed blade is made from S35VN stainless steel, offering a near perfect balance between durability and edge holding performance. The tumbled titanium liners and back spacers and 3-D CNC-machined and bead-blasted G-10 handle scales provide even greater degrees of strength!

Equipped with the ground breaking Tri-Ad® locking mechanism, this knife is quite possibly the strongest production folder Cold Steel® has ever produced! It has passed every one of Cold Steel®'s grueling and torturous shock and impact tests, and then gone on to easily hold over 360 kg (800 lbs) of free hanging weight - with no damage!

CPM S35VN Steel
An exceptional American super steel, CPM S35VN is not only very tough and durable but it will take a fine razor-sharp edge that will last a long time. An incredibly fine-grained powdered steel with a uniform microstructure, it offers very consistent performance. Durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant and tough even when honed to a very fine edge, it is a good, well-rounded steel choice for high-end superior quality custom knives and tools.

Tolles Messer für große Hände

Gigantisches Messer mit Wow-Effekt

Lynn Thompson: der Mann, für den keine Messeridee zu absurd ist. Offenbar hat Cold Steel den von Demko entworfenen AD-10 betrachtet und beschlossen: 'Dieses Ding ist weder groß genug noch überdimensioniert genug für den täglichen Gebrauch.' Also kommt der 4-Max, größer und noch überdimensionierter. Sie werden nie ein lächerlicheres Klappmesser in der Hand halten. Es ist so groß, dass man sich unsicher über die Größe der eigenen Hände fühlt, denn es ist ungefähr fünfmal so groß wie normale EDC-Messer. Wenn Cold Steel die Aufgabe gehabt hätte, ein Messer für André den Riesen zu machen, würde dieses Messer mehr Sinn ergeben. Stattdessen ist es ein Denkmal für den Maximalismus. Wir müssen es also als das nehmen, was es ist, und dafür gibt es nichts Vergleichbares. Ich kann nicht genug betonen, wie riesig dieses Ding ist. Versuchen Sie, bei der Arbeit gefeuert zu werden? Nehmen Sie dieses Ding heraus, wenn das nächste Mal ein Paket ankommt. Sofort arbeitslos! Wollen Sie, dass Ihre Nachbarn Sie in Ruhe lassen? Setzen Sie sich auf Ihre Veranda und schneiden Sie einen Apfel mit diesem Ding. Problem mit den Nachbarn gelöst!

Beeindruckendes Messer

Ich besitze bereits den 4max Scout und liebe ihn. Dieses Elite-Modell habe ich gerade erhalten und es gefällt mir sehr. Die Griffe sind fantastisch und es fühlt sich etwas leichter an als der Scout. Der s35vn-Stahl hält die Schärfe gut und lässt sich dennoch recht gut nachschärfen. Ein wenig mehr Zeit beim Schärfen ist ein kleiner Preis für die langlebige Klinge. Es gibt jedoch ein kleines Problem mit der Passgenauigkeit bei meinem Exemplar. Die Stifte im Messerkörper sind leicht dezentriert. Kein Dealbreaker. Hervorragendes Messer. Liegt gut in der Hand, sieht gut aus, funktioniert einwandfrei. Es ist mein neues EDC.
